Senior Business Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants has an direct hire opportunity for a Senior BA in downtown Chicago, IL.

The Business Analyst is responsible for working with the Business Solution Leader for Client Commitments Portfolio and Sales Enablement Portfolios to understand the business strategy as well as with business representatives during ideation stages to develop high level requirements and partner with the technology organization to complete the due diligence to intake those ideas as programs/projects. During those program/projects it would be responsible to work in collaboration with business subject matter experts and the technology organization to ensure delivery is achieved as required and in alignment with the strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in strategy discussions and other business units (BU) discussions to understand and capture high-level business needs.
  • Lead the analysis, development, documentation, and communication of functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Represent business/stakeholder interests by understanding and driving business needs and value to implementation.
  • Work with the Business Solution Lead and Business Architect to understand business strategy and translate into requirements.
  • Work with Application Architect, Solutions Architect or Data Architect to ensure the resulting solution architecture addresses the functional / nonfunctional requirements
  • Understand key healthcare, innovation and technology trends as well as technology to advocate for alignment of business requirements when possible.
  • Validate business and technical requirements are met during the project delivery process.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) activities to ensure business and system requirements are met.
  • Assist both innovation and strategy development with subject matter expertise, when appropriate.
  • Advise users requiring assistance in solving complex problems or issues with management and business systems.
  • Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing business support; training users.
  • Develops the Requirements Plan for complex programs/projects.
  • Able to lead, mentor, and manage teams of Business Analysts.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree and 5 years Information Technology experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 7 year Information Technology experience OR 9 years Information Technology experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (SaaS / PaaS ).
  • Knowledge of system architecture and application portfolio.
  • Knowledge of requirements management and/or prototyping (ALM, RallyDev, Balsamiq, iRise).
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts and/or processes.
  • Business acumen. *Business process management and modeling.
  • Requirements definition and management.
  • SDLC, Iterative, Agile and /or Scrum development.
  • Complex problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers and escalate risks/Issues timely and effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communications including experience presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work on complex matrix structures and influence others towards achieving objectives
  • Experience on Salesforce (preferred) or CRM & Implementing Digital Solutions
  • Experience in supporting multiple portfolios/projects simultaneously

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.
  • Health Insurance Experience.
  • Team Lead experience.
  • Business process management and modeling.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in data analysis, data validation, data cleansing.
  • BA certification.
