Job Summary:

Hunter Hollis is working with a local client with a need for a Senior Accountant. The main objective of the Senior Accountant role is to work with existing and up and coming clients accounting and bookkeeping needs, working with the general ledger, financial statement preparation and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Month end close
  • Monthly client bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • Financial analysis
  • Special duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Accounting and CPA required
  • Government contracts and grant accounting experience
  • Prior or current experience in a CPA firm environment
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Downtown Raleigh, NC
