Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Scrum Master/Project Manager for an opportunity with a client located in Glen Allen, Virginia. You will coordinate the stakeholders for the program, and communicate to them status and requirements. Your job will include creating frameworks to guide and coordinate product delivery, as well as the oversight and maintenance of dashboards and other tools that stakeholders will use to communicate and understand where the project is at any point in time. The company deals with a wide set of initiatives related to Corporate Real Estate, Life Safety, Physical Security, Facilities, Bank Branches and ATM centers. These are either new technology projects, maintenance projects or upgrade projects to facilitate users with required technology developments.

As a Project Manager, you will create the central mechanisms of visibility and accountability required to deliver projects. There are a wide variety of stakeholders who need visibility, and you will own the communication and reporting out to those stakeholders, adapting to their required level of knowledge and involvement in the program. You will use a variety of traditional and new tools, including project planning tools, wikis and blogs, email, spreadsheets, and meetings.

This is a high-impact role that will lead the delivery of new technologies and introduce dynamic ways of bringing a wide variety of stakeholders and project dependencies into a fast-moving delivery system. Parts of WPS (including Safety and Security) have undergone an Agile transformation and are adopting Agile practices along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and dashboards
  • Coordinate internal resources, stakeholders and dependencies for the flawless delivery of a sophisticated set of products to market
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Coordinate project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Track project progress in JIRA
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more teams
  • Integrate Agile & Lean principles into team practices and work products
  • Ensure team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery
  • Proactively identify impediments and appropriately resolve using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)
  • Introduce new and advanced practices to improve the team and their delivery
  • Demonstrate ability to balance data with other factors when making decisions
  • Understand domain architecture and upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Utilize team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve
  • Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-organization

  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development .

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 1 years of experience working with development teams
  • At least 1 Year of Agile experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to see and explain the big picture
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and shifting priorities
  • Excellent presentation skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • 2+ Years of Agile experience
  • Experience as part of an agile team
  • Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification or PMI's Agile Certified Professional
  • (ACP)
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
