Reporting Analyst--Data Controls Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Reporting Analyst for an opportunity with a client in Charlotte, NC. Our Client's Non Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) Center is responsible for the consistent application of interpretation, data sourcing, preparation, governance and oversight of regulatory reports that are not produced within the CFO function. The regulatory reporting group within the NFRR center is responsible for aligning all non-financial regulatory reports (NFRR) to the appropriate target state which potentially includes technology alignment, governance, control framework, preparation, and submission. NFRR Reports are aligned to all lines of business within the bank and includes Markets, Consumer, Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance and Human resources.

This role will serve as a Regulatory Reporting Analyst responsible for driving key reporting activities and functions within the Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review data dictionaries for completeness of business requirements and ensure completeness of all operational and reporting requirements
  • Review internally generated report comparisons to ascertain the completeness and accuracy in the target state.
  • Design appropriate data quality controls on the raw data sets and the final generated reports to reduce the risk of misstatement
  • Preparation and submission of regulatory reports for various jurisdictions based upon target state alignment
  • Execution of controls for reports and administer reporting workflow
  • Determine key reporting metrics that can be used to across multiple similar reports to communicate to senior executives the state of current reporting
  • Creation of necessary reporting documentation including desktop procedures, process flows, identification of key controls and data flow.
  • Key contact for respective regulatory agency inquiries regarding filings and submissions
  • Participate and represent the reporting function to control partners (e.g., Audit and Compliance)
  • Responsible for the identification, tracking, and remediation of data issues and control enhancements that impact the respective reports
  • Partner with Data Stewart organization to ensure adherence to Enterprise Data Management (EDM) standards and policies
  • Partner with the NFRR Regulatory Interpretation team on all changes to regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with technology team in providing requirements and user acceptance testing (UAT). Identify strategic sourcing of data (via Authorized Data Source (ADS)) and enhance controls.
  • Assist with NFRR Report Target State alignment by identifying the risks associated with current state by performing current state assessments, understand the effectiveness of controls, determination of process risks, and executing plans to incorporate the reporting process into the NFRR organization.

Required Job Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 5+ years of experience; Professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CFA, CPA) preferred
  • Global Banking and Markets (GBAM), Consumer/GWIM or Risk/Compliance business/operations and regulatory reporting experience
  • Ability to provide clear oral and written communication to a variety of business and technical audiences.
  • Regulatory Reporting and analytics experience with in FLU/CF, Finance or GBAM Operations
  • Data management and data quality background
  • Detail oriented and process excellence mind set
  • Process migration and re-engineering experience to strategic framework
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, analytical mindset required
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet regulatory submission deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic work environment
  • Technical savvy with the ability to quickly understand different systems and processes
  • Eager to learn and grow, receptive to constructive feedback
  • Self-starter, takes initiative
  • Advance Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. SQL and Analytics tool (Tableau and Micro Strategy) is a plus

Enterprise Specific Job Description:

Understands and works across teams on all downstream provisioning requirements for the domain. Assists with an inventory of all applications in the data flow for the domain. Supports data domain adherence to EDM Standards, including implementation and monitoring of all required transport controls and maintenance of all required metadata. Assists in remediation of data incidents.
