Product Manager Summary:

Signature Consultants is looking for a Product Manager to work on a contract position with one of our clients located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Product Manager should be an IT generalist and a business visionary with a thorough understanding of the healthcare business environment especially Medicare. The Product Manager is responsible for leading product strategy and product management life cycle activities throughout the growth, maturity and saturation phases of the product lifecycle.


  • Design and implement the product roadmap that addresses market demands and surpasses the relevant competition to achieve long term financial goals
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive analysis, product innovation, customer validation, and assist with pricing strategies for healthcare related products and services
  • Research and analyze business information to develop an understanding of the industry and competitive environment; stay in tune with any market forces or business drivers that would be influential to future markets
  • Define customer and market segmentation. Evaluate competing products, take hands on approach in understanding key attributes/features/distribution in competitive products and positioning appropriately
  • Identify new healthcare business growth opportunities within or adjacent to current product offerings through a detailed understanding of key market/customer trends and competitor strategies
  • Conduct analysis and synthesis of market insights to proactively identify business opportunities, threats, and challenges and derive recommendations for input into strategic planning and product development
  • Create, maintain and prioritize product backlog while striking balance between ROI, operational objectives and strategic objectives. Create and maintain product roadmaps ensuring that the product roadmap is aligned with organizational strategy. Ensure organizational efforts are focused according to the product roadmap
  • Recruit, coordinate and manage Product Advisory Groups and focus groups. Work with cross-functional teams to plan for new products. Drive product implementation teams forward, negotiating across differences and achieving consensus
  • Conduct preliminary investigation for all project requests to make sure they are in line with business objectives and organizational strategy. Ensure all projects undertaken are value added and result in a measurable savings to the bottom line through the reduction of cost or the generation of additional revenues
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Train internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems or new procedures. Conduct one-on-one or classroom training depending upon the size or desire of the audience
  • May supervise, mentor, guide, advise and/or check the work of less experienced Project Managers and business systems analysts
  • Other related duties assigned as needed


  • Degree Bachelor’s degree in computer science, industrial engineering, business, or operations management required
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2 years of supervisory/management experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in similar role
  • A solid track record involving well rounded product management experience preferably in the healthcare field
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare regulations is a must
  • Ability to quickly understand emerging technologies and their business value is required
  • Ability to work collaboratively at all the levels in the organization
  • must have a thorough understanding of IT concepts and must demonstrate ability to integrate and transform technology into competitive advantage for the client
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills

  • Ability to learn and apply various technologies quickly
  • Strong Business Process Analysis and Design Skills
  • Ability to Create and Maintain Flow Charts for Business processes
  • Ability to create State Diagrams, Screen Mock Ups
  • Ability to design, document process monitoring and control Reports
  • Software Requirements Documentation
  • Software Testing for User Acceptance
  • Training and mentoring of lower level team members
  • Strong presentation / demonstration skills
  • Ability to engage comfortably with varying levels of internal and external customers
