Kronos Architect Summary:

Signature Consultants is looking for a Kronos Architect to work on a contract position with one of our clients located in Davie, FL. The Senior Kronos Architect serves as the lead Kronos configuration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop Kronos solutions to support client operations. The incumbent in this position is responsible for configuring the Kronos application to support all goals and objectives and technology roadmaps consistent with the Tribe's strategic plan, policies and standard operating procedures. The individual documents all system configuration and all ongoing changes required. The individual mentors and coaches' staff, and customer support to ensure the services provided meet the needs and expectations of the end users. This position reports to the Information Technology Director.

  • Assists the Director in the developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the Kronos infrastructure supports the business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
  • Configures the Kronos application to support all goals and objectives and technology roadmaps consistent with the client's strategic plan, policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Interacts with customers / end-users to understand and document their business processes and requirements. Analyze business requirements to develop technical solutions to operational, management, business process, and their framework.
  • Performs gap analysis to determine Kronos suite's system configuration and development changes. Develops plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects. Coordinates and works closely with other IT units and other departments to identify objectives, plans, and methods to satisfy business requirements.
  • Creates detailed business requirement documents. Documents work processes, configurations, and writes system and user documentation that may also be used for training purposes, as deemed necessary.
  • Directs managers, information technology staff, customer support teams, and a customer call center to provide liaison with technology-using departments, to affect resolution of client issues, accomplish work requests, and recommend viable technical improvements to business processes.
  • Assists and provides technical assistance and support during system, upgrades, release processes and testing to maintain stability and supportability. Executes test scripts as necessary.
  • Develops / creates hyper-find queries and genies and understand the navigational aspect of the Kronos system.
  • Monitors and analyzes Kronos performance and data input/output reports to detect problems, identify inefficient use of computer resources.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and manages technical support with Kronos Provider.
  • Researches and implements new technologies to improve database functionality. Performs sites analyses and feasibility studies, as required, and submits technical and management reports.
  • Provides support and training in use of the application, including orientation for all new staff and specialized training in response to changing roles, business processes and database functionality.
  • Develops effective working relationships with all end-users. Meets the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Integrates knowledge of operational processes, end-user needs and larger organizational needs, and general database concepts.
  • Stays abreast of latest changes and updates to the Kronos Systems and how the changes may impact the operations of the client.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and other activities and events as requested
  • Must adhere to all client policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional related duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience working with the Kronos Workforce Central Software System, and serving as expert for version 6.3 and forward, including full data integration is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education/certifications and experience will be considered.
  • Strong expertise in the areas of pay rules and building blocks, accrual rules, attendance policies and events, security profiles and device management setup is required. Installations within the last four (4) years, is also required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages, including Excel, word, PowerPoint.
