Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a mid to senior level IT Project Manager with previous banking or financial services experience for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will come from a large corporation and have a deep understanding of technology projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management leadership for medium to large sized projects specifically within the RBOC (Resiliency Business Operations Controls) Group
  • Performs project management responsibilities relating to information technology implementations. Manages multiple projects or a single major project. Coordinates resources within and across projects and has matrix management responsibility
  • Responsible for project technology estimates, plans, organizes, monitors and controls technology requirements and delivery for projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential operational risk mitigation strategies for the technology elements
  • Effectively communicate with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed. Partners with the program and project managers to develop and transition plans and technical designs, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change
  • Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure
  • Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs
  • May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience

Requirements:

  • Strong technology knowledge and experience in working in complex IT engagements
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in working in complex technology engagements
  • Strong executive presentation skills
  • Knowledge of PMi, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile (SCRUM/SAFE), and/or Six Sigma (Lean) methodologies
  • Excellence is required in analytical abilities, verbal and written communications (including documentation), interpersonal relationship skills, and teamwork
  • Preferred BAC domain knowledge
  • Previous Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery experience is a plus
  • Strong Sharepoint skills
  • Strong communication and good leadership skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and multitask effectively
  • Investigate and recommend best practices and process improvements for the build system.
  • Develop project plans, major tasks and milestones using scope, resources, budget and personnel as criteria
  • Coordinates and performs detailed technical and business analysis one or more efforts of high complexity.
  • Define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout project life cycle
