Financial Data Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a Financial Data Analyst. In this role the candidate will assume ownership of current reconciliations across multiple products. This position generates reports daily on data quality breaks and data validation. The candidate will work closely with product stewards to perform required updates after upstream changes and drive participates in design, development and implementation of reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with product Data Stewards to complete manual reconciliations, determine common reconciling items, variance types and gather business requirements for an automated solution.
  • Develop processes & queries to confirm application processes are working as per the requirements.
  • Monitors technical and data issues within Business Intelligence tools and manages issue resolution, insuring that all Data Reconciliation and Data Validation controls are available.
  • Communicates status to stakeholders and escalates issues according to defined process, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • General Ledger reconciliation experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate, track and organize all written and verbal communications and prioritize accordingly
  • Understands concepts and application of Business Intelligence tools, demonstrates understanding of relationship between data and business rules and functions.
  • Demonstrated history of strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence across diverse groups of stakeholders

Desired Skills:

  • 3-5 years experience analyzing and reporting financial data
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • SQL & Microsoft Visual Basic for Application experience
  • Must have strong analytical skills and have experience working across multiple applications
