DevOps Engineer Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a DevOps Engineer for an opportunity in Miami, FL. This role is supporting all 3 brands. This is a heavy support role and heavy automation. First initiative is supporting the clients 3 webistes from a deployment perspective and monitoring any issues. The DevOps Engineer will develop, test, maintain and support applications. Analyze and troubleshoot software problems and recommend viable solutions. Support existing infrastructure and develop new technologies. The DevOps Engineer is also responsible for activities and planning while supporting production launches for sites releases.


  • Ansible or Chef or Puppet/ Any Devops tools
  • Linux and Windows
  • Coding Experience: java or php is preferred but any coding is fine
  • Production Support Experience
  • Automation- They can teach them Selenium


  • Develop and maintain new web applications customized for Client based on business and technical requirements established by the team leader using clients coding standards including IT Standards for Security & Compliance including development for mobile site application, as well as applications for android and apple devices.
  • Perform complete testing of applications using unit and functional testing engaging users as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the development of travel agent portal and API Proxy for Security for B2B Partners.
  • Develop database-driven web interfaces for quick, real-time information sharing and monitoring.
  • Develop external web portals allowing users to input and retrieve accurate information.
  • Manage ticket life cycle related to Web Based systems by monitoring, tracking and closing resolved tickets.
  • Deliver assigned application development tasks and projects.
  • Provide after hours problem resolution during on-call rotation period.
  • Ability to automate workflows through scripting or other technologies such as Ansible or Shell scripts Install, configure and maintain Windows and Linux-based web and virtual servers.
  • Create, configure, and administer staging and production web servers and databases including data transfer, backup and recovery plans.
  • Administer and maintain the source code control environment.
  • Deploy launch ready websites to production and monitor and troubleshoot production installation of client websites.
  • Perform load testing as needed for high volume deployment, DNS and domain registrar administration.
  • Lead the establishment and maintenance of network and computer use standards and guidelines.
  • Research and present hardware and software tools used in the support and maintenance of sites.
  • Develop and maintain an IT plan for system maintenance, disaster recovery and expansion.
  • Perform other job relate functions as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with 3 years of IT support and planning experience or Masters in Computer Science or relate field of study or any equivalent relevant experience in a related field.
  • Experience with .NET, PHP, Java, Scala, Ruby and other Web programming languages desired.
  • Demonstrated experience with server support.
  • Experience with quality assurance activities and with agile development practices preferred.
  • Proficiency with HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP, ASP and ASP.NET, C#, Visual Basic, SQL, and Java.
  • Strong skills in Apache and Drupal and Ruby or similar Successful delivery of assigned application development tasks and projects.
  • Excellent customer centric skills.
  • Effective training and support of user communities with web technologies and tools.
  • Effective balance coordination of project, task needs, operational requirements with teammates.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a deadline driven environment with ability to shift priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of network systems and IT infrastructure for support, maintenance and planning purposes.
  • Thorough understanding of network architecture and problem solving.
  • Thorough understanding of Windows and Linux based computers systems.
  • Knowledge of server installation, configuration, and support.
  • Solid working knowledge of VMware or related virtualization technology, LDAP, Jboss application server, Git, DNS, firewalls and load balancers.
  • Ability to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate and teach non-technical users.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well in a team based environment.
  • Ability to create enthusiasm among team members while embracing positive change.
  • Strong attention to detail. Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
