Communications Manager Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Communications Manager for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The Communications manager will serve as the lead writer/editor for benefits communications initiatives. The candidate will act as the communications project manager overseeing overall generic content development across multiple copy decks and communications strategies. Manage updates based on content direction and edits from business partners and project leads.


  • Participate in project routines and requirements meetings
  • Work with project team and business and legal partners
  • Coordinate and manage updates to documentation based on content development/editing and stakeholder feedback
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with project members to write, review and finalize content
  • Help process/edit feedback from reviews of content by GHR business partners, legal, service providers, etc.
  • Present content updates as needed in project routines or to leader/stakeholder audiences, as needed
  • Support other site content initiatives and assignments as needed

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical writing/editing and content development experience for benefits and legal communications
  • Experience developing and executing communications in a project environment
  • Experience managing and directing resources, including managing a design agency to perform work according to specifications
  • Experience developing communications strategies for global audiences
  • Experience in leading meetings, giving presentations, etc. to key stakeholders on communications/engagement initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, capture key outcomes / actions and own project / process documentation
  • Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines
  • Ability to manage a project or phases of a project in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build relationships and interact with Technology, Change Management, Business and external (3rd party) partners
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and adapts to changing circumstances
  • Ability to work with diverse team members in virtual environment
  • Ability to work with and across multiple levels of the organization, prioritize work and meet deadlines

Desired Skills:

  • HR programs and benefits communications experience and subject matter expertise
  • Experience in implementing HR systems and processes (health and Insurance, payroll, talent management, learning systems etc.)
  • Global project experience
