Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for CFTC Analyst. In this role the candidate will be responsible for activities related to US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulations. The incumbent should have prior CFTC related experience. The candidate will provide analytical support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB/ECF. The resource will gather and organize data in order to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans. He/she will prepare documentation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management and act as an ambassador of the risk culture. Incumbents typically have over 5+ years of risk management and/or LOB/ECF experience. This role may also manage staff.

Team Responsibilities:

  • Daily CFTC Segregation Statement preparation
  • Daily and Quarterly Residual Interest and Legal Segregation with Operational Commingling (LSOC) Calculations
  • End-of-Day Funding determinations
  • Monthly FOCUS completion for CFTC related pages
  • Management metrics completion
  • Present metrics, analysis and monthly highlights as required
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors and regulators
  • Build and maintain relationships with business partners


  • 2+ years of experience in Broker Dealer Regulatory Reporting
  • Relevant experience with CFTC regulatory filings: Daily Segregation, SIDR, Residual Interest, etc.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and oral and written communication skills
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • In depth understanding of CFTC and NFA rules
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts and formulate conclusions to solve problems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA and / or MBA
