Business Systems Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants has a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity for a Business Support Analyst. In this role the candidate will provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to application issues. They will also be responsible for responding to, documenting and resolving service tickets in a timely manner according to SLA. The candidate will support global business units in the company with the enhancement and development of the various business systems shore side. He/she will actively work with the business sub-units in Information Technology and operations across the enterprise to properly communicate systems changes and enhancements. The candidate will be tasked with many small projects that they will need to prioritize and follow through to completion.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Core BA skills- Troubleshooting Issues, documentation skills
  • Ability to manage a backlog of request and prioritize the to completion
  • Some technical skills i.e. SQL or XML or some type of technical abilities
  • Requirements gathering skills
  • Cruise or Reservation experience is nice to have.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and prioritize backlog items, including bug fixes and small enhancements
  • Work with specific departmental system application of various development teams to ensure accurate translation of business requirements
  • Lead or participate in regular priority meetings to analyze workflow, understand the business flow and make recommendations
  • Identify and initiate action to implement new and efficient ways of translating business transactions in the system.
  • Evaluate requests from business units to determine current and future system capabilities and recommend changes to the system, taking into consideration the global impact of those changes
  • Create and follow the change control process and ensure proper methodology and implementation, including but not limited to: training, scripting, communication and implementation
  • Lead testing efforts by ensuring that issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Debug production reported issues and suggest manual workarounds
  • Provide customer service in person, via phone and email as appropriate
  • Assist in resolving production issues, including troubleshooting application issues
  • Assess and analyze existing processes and data to identify improvement opportunities and present findings to
