Account Clerk Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an Account Clerk for a contracting opportunity in Scranton, PA. This resource is required to be on the assignment for the required hours as specified in the job description. Forty hours per week is the expectation in the absence of specified hours. Attendance and punctuality are essential components of the position; therefore, unexcused absences and tardiness could result in dismissal. In this role the candidate performs accounting activities such as, maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. This position requires an Associate's degree in Accounting/Business or 2-5 years of relevant experience in the field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field is required. This role relies on limited experiences and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. The candidate works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Required Skills:

  • Candidates will be processing Manual Journal Entries
  • May be required to create Journal entries based on Financial Reports findings
  • Strong DE
  • Accounting /bookkeeping background
  • Associate in Accounting /bookkeeping or equivalent work experience
