Technical Business Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for one of our larger financial clients in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in an agile environment (user stories, Sprints, etc.) and have worked with technology teams with some data analysis work.

The resource will be responsible for analyzing business requirements & processes. The primary focus for this resource will be ongoing components of the legal projects. This will include UI, data integration, and writing stories to modify technology to support business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • * Provide simultaneous support as a business analyst/product owner for multiple agile development teams with the potential to concurrently support multiple products.
  • * Comprehend, document, and analyze business processes. This will include review for potential improvement & automation. Consider the product roadmap and long-term strategy when analyzing processes and requirements.
  • * Ask insightful and probing questions regarding the department and how processes fit with legal & regulatory requirements.
  • * Building long-term, productive relationships with business partners.
  • * Gathering requirements from the line of business for translation into a technical solution, including gap analysis as needed.
  • * Writing stories using BDD (Behavior driven design), the INVEST approach, and vertical slicing to support the developers/QA staff & maximize delivered business value.
  • * Interfacing with developers and QA to understand the proposed solution, ensure that it meets the business needs, and working to implement that solution.
  • * Testing of newly developed code prior to production releases or during technical recovery exercises.
  • * Aid other team members as needed with their initiatives/BAU and/or vendor relationships, though this position is largely focused on in-house developed solutions.
Required Skills:

  • * Strong understanding of browser based applications
  • * Strong ability to understand & document business processes in a highly complex and regulated environment.
  • * Understanding of relational DB's and data structures
  • * Technical understanding of servers, networks, firewalls and other hardware functionality & interactions.
  • * Understanding of ETL jobs, including core functionality and appropriate use.
  • * Extremely strong verbal & written communication skills
  • * Intellectual curiosity
  • * Data & process analysis skills
