Risk & Safety Manager Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Risk & Safety Manager for an opportunity with a client in The Colony area of Texas. This is a great opportunity to become a part of a dynamic company and great working environment!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to define and analyze possible risks
  • Evaluate the gravity of each risk by considering its consequences
  • Audit processes and procedures
  • Develop risk management controls and systems
  • Design processes to eliminate or mitigate potential risks
  • Create contingency plans to manage crises
  • Evaluate existing policies and procedures to find weaknesses
  • Prepare reports and present recommendations
  • Gather data required for annual renewals and audits
  • Work with agent and underwriter on needs, adjustments, etc.
  • Assist division credit managers and controllers with COI requests
  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of risk assessment and control
  • Understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
  • Experience with auditing and reporting procedures
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations (ex: OSHA)
  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field
  • Risk & Safety Management certifications a plus (ARM, CRM, PRM, OSHA-10, OSHA-30, etc.)
