IT Project Manager Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an IT Project Manager for an opportunity with a client in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for planning and executing project responsibilities within strict timelines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

Must Have Skillsets Required :

  • 4+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle
  • Problem Solving & Communications Skills, including significant experience facilitating communication among technologists, technology managers, and non-technology managers.

Level of Experience Needed

  • Experience managing large, finance-impacting program implementations
  • Experience managing across varied finance, business, and IT stakeholder groups and maintaining key relationships
  • Ability to manage in a high volume, fast paced changing environment with good time management skills and the ability to manage teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to deliver across levels
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.
  • Budgeting, cost control, and risk management experience
  • Distaster Recovery or Business Continuity Expereince is highly desired
