Integration Architect Summary:

Signature Consultants is actively seeking an Integration Architect for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. In this role the candidate will be responsible for the Web-based application (Preferred Weblogic but Websphere backgroup acceptable) server design and build outs for applications and services in a UNIX and Windows infrastructure. The Integration Architect will manage and work closely with application teams deploying new applications in the Weblogic/Websphere hosting environment(s). This is a senior level position which typically requires 5 or more years of systems experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Web-based application (Preferred Weblogic but Websphere backgroup acceptable) server design and build outs for applications and services in a UNIX and Windows infrastructure
  • Facilitate In-depth technical consultation with developers and Technical Service Providers (TI) for new projects
  • Troubleshooting complex application integration points and coordinating with virtual team members across the enterprise to deliver complex J2EE hosting solutions
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and be readily adaptable to change
  • Expected to be self-motivated, a strong leader, able to influence others and able to think creatively
  • Manage and work closely with application teams deploying new applications in the Weblogic/Websphere hosting environment(s)
  • Gather application configuration needs and facilitate changes with administrators and product vendor to resolve technical configuration or application issues etc.
  • Liaison between application teams and administrators for hardware and/or software upgrades
  • Create detailed project budgets that include hardware, software, & resource costs
  • Create and execute project plans on time and on budget

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Be able to manage multiple complex technical projects
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes
  • Knowledge of Hardware Infrastructure, Local Area Networks, and System Development Life Cycle
  • Strong background in Infrastructure Engineering
  • Weblogic/WebSphere, Unix, J2EE knowledge (Java, JSP's, Servlet, EJB, JMS, MQ etc)
  • Working knowledge of: RDBMS, Web Servers, Web Server load balancing (GTM/LTM)
  • Ability to lead a project team consisting of resources that are not direct reports (virtual team)Experience with
  • Netezza, Hadoop, and Siebel would be a huge plus. Also a nice to have would be experience with Puppet and Informatica

Desired Skills:

  • Object Oriented Enterprise Application Development
  • Knowledge of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) concepts
  • Unix shell (ksh) & Perl scripting
  • Working knowledge of: Weblogic ( 9.x, 10.x or web center), Oracle (10G & 11), Solaris ( 9, 10), Resonate/GTM/LTM, iPlanet/SUNOne or Apache, MQ Series
  • Capacity planning
  • Building out and maintaining Disaster Recovery environment
