Business Support Manager Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Business Support Manager with previous agile and PMO experience to support one of our larger financial clients in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be managing diverse administrative functions for a very large, complex department or business unit. They will be accountable for tracking project financials, milestones, capacity, and reconciliation while reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan. Provides a single point of contact for program management, control function, and vendor management issues. They will partner with Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, Agile Coaches, and Program Leadership to create a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/project setup, execution, control, and reporting.

The candidate needs a strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes. Ensures clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key program/project roles. The canddiate integrates knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning and decisioning processes. Communicates, influences, and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Responsibilities may extend to audit and compliance issues resolution, service quality, business continuity, process improvement, and communications as necessary.

Typically 5+ years of PMO or similar experience and matrix or indirect management of larger organizations which may include leading small PMO teams.


Required Skills:

  • 5 plus years of project, program, or business management experience
  • Expert level Microsoft Excel skills - pivot tables, lookups, and data manipulation
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint - preparation of Senior Executive-level materials
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Scaled Agile environment in one of the following roles:
    o Scrum Master
    o Safe Agilist
    o Product Owner/Product Manager
    o Release Train Engineer
    o Solution Train Engineer
  • JIRA administration
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Robust presentation skills for a Senior Manager, Executive, and Senior Executive audience
  • Team player that is resourceful and takes initiative
  • Bachelor's Degree

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of BAC Change and Project Management processes
  • Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices
  • Flexibility and ability to iterate / continuous improvement
  • Prior experience large corporate or top-tier financial institution
