Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst for a Top Client in Glen Allen, VA. This candidate will join an experienced team of professionals who are driving a data culture within the department. This role will help the department partner with the business to drive or support business performance management, operations management, reporting, and analytic best practice capabilities.

A BIA will provide guidance and direction on using and presenting data in consumable and compelling ways to drive better decisions and more insightful actions. The BIA is expected to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and work with customers to uncover unmet business needs. This role will also assist with development, implementation, and delivery of business intelligence which supports the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Works with business stakeholders to elicit requirements
  • Design, develop, and implement reports and dashboards to leverage our data
  • Assist with: business area analysis, requirements definition, source data identification, and data quality
  • Identify inconsistencies and/or anomalies in data or business requirements
  • Able to correctly assess and articulate a business problem. Applies logic and draws accurate conclusions from information
  • Works collaboratively with team members in an Agile framework
  • Develop data models
  • Communicates plans and progress with team on a regular basis
  • Keeps current with the direction of the business and the needs of internal customers

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience with developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards)
  • Experience with any BI tools (Cognos, Business Objects, QlikSense, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology
  • Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate concurrent projects
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and directed
